Strategic partnership bolsters Qodea's Agentic SOC investment as UK cyber threats reach unprecedented levels

Qodea, a London headquartered technology group backed by Marlin Equity Partners, has been named a Google Cloud Global Strategic Cyber Security Partner. The designation recognizes Qodea’s capability to deliver enterprise security services at scale using Google Cloud’s security solutions.

Qodea provides end to end cyber security services, from consultancy, engineering and 24/7x365 security managed services and incident response. In 2024 Qodea strengthened its cyber portfolio through the acquisition of tmc3, a consultancy with an extensive track record across defence, central government and critical national infrastructure environments.

Qodea’s security managed services and Agentic SOC are built exclusively on Google Cloud's market leading technology stack - which includes Google Security Operations, Google Threat Intelligence and Gemini models. This collaboration with Google Cloud allows for Qodea to receive additional access and cost benefits, which are passed on to their customers.

Central to this partnership is Qodea's continued investment in advanced security operations capability aligned with Google Cloud's agentic security vision. This approach combines philosophies, practices and tools that improve an organisation's ability to withstand security attacks through an adaptive, agile and highly automated approach to threat detection, prioritisation and response.

The timing of this is critical. The UK's National Cyber Security Centre recently reported 204 "nationally significant" cyber incidents between September 2024 and August 2025 – a 130% increase from the previous year, many of which have demonstrated the real-world economic impact of inadequate cyber posture.

Alan Paton, CEO of Qodea and Wunan Li, Global Lead of Google Cloud Security

Alan Paton, CEO of Qodea, said:

"The cyber security landscape is evolving faster than most organisations can respond. The impact of poor cyber posture is stark and immediate, as evidenced by the high-profile incidents across the UK over the past year. These aren't just IT problems, they're business survival issues that can halt operations, damage reputation and threaten economic security.

Our partnership with Google Cloud as a Global Strategic Cyber Security Partner, and continued investment in our 'Agentic SOC', enables us to deliver advanced, automated defence capabilities,  providing organisations of all sizes the tools and services that scale with and adapt to the sophistication of modern threats."

Wunan Li, Global Lead, Google Cloud Security, said:

"Qodea has demonstrated exceptional capability in delivering Google Cloud security solutions to organisations across multiple sectors. Their investment in Google based autonomic security operations and commitment to continuous innovation makes them an ideal strategic partner. As threats become more sophisticated and frequent, organisations need partners who can deliver both enterprise-grade security and the agility to adapt quickly. Qodea's expertise and approach align with our vision for modernising security operations at scale."
